RCB defeated Rajasthan Royals by 11 runs in a thrilling game. The match was held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Kohli, Padikkal, and Hazlewood were the standout performers.
Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave RCB a strong opening. They added 61 runs for the first wicket in 7 overs. Salt scored 26, while Kohli looked in top form.
Kohli scored a stunning 70 off 42 balls. Padikkal followed with a blazing 50 off 27. They built a 95-run stand that powered RCB past 200.
RCB ended with 205/5 in 20 overs. Jitesh Sharma’s unbeaten 20 boosted the finish. Rajasthan bowlers struggled to contain the middle overs.
Jaiswal smashed 49 off 19 with 7 fours, 3 sixes. He and debutant Suryavanshi added 52 for the first wicket. RR reached 72/2 inside the powerplay.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Suryavanshi. Hazlewood took out Jaiswal to shift momentum. -Krunal Pandya picked two key wickets in the middle.
Dhruv Jurel scored a quick 47 with 3 fours & 3 sixes. He nearly pulled off a miracle for RR. His dismissal tilted the game back to RCB.
Josh Hazlewood delivered when it mattered most. He picked 4 wickets, including Hetmyer and Jaiswal. -His bowling was the game-changer in the final overs.
RCB moves to 3rd place with 12 points from 9 games. RR remains 8th after 5 back-to-back losses. RCB now has a healthy Net Run Rate of +0.482.
