What Travels So Fast Around The Earth
The International Space Station (ISS) passes by the Earth every 90 minutes, and thus, astronauts get to see sunrises and sunsets without stopping.
The ISS moves at 28,000 km/h (17,500 mph fast enough to orbit Earth 16 times a day!
While we get one sunrise and one sunset ISS astronauts see 16 of each—a truly unreal sight!
In space, astronauts see breathtaking views of Earth, city lights, auroras, and storms that form on Earth.
Because of the constantly changing light, astronauts follow a strict routine to keep their sleep patterns intact.
Life In Microgravity
On the ISS, **everything floats**—astronauts eat, sleep, and even exercise in zero gravity
The ISS provides an **unobstructed view** of the stars, without Earth's atmosphere and light pollution.
To stay in orbit, the ISS travels at **mind-boggling speeds** - if it loses speed, it will **fall toward Earth
16 sunrises a day? A gravity-free world? Space life on the ISS is unreal! Will you go
