Not every bird is born to fly. Some prefer the calm of the water over the vast sky.
It’s the Penguin — a bird that swims like a fish but never takes flight.
Penguins have wings shaped like flippers, perfect for swimming but useless for flying.
They can swim up to 15 mph, diving deep into icy waters for food.
Penguins are naturally buoyant and use their flippers like paddles.
Their heavy bones and flipper-shaped wings make flight impossible.
Mostly in the Southern Hemisphere — Antarctica, South Africa, Australia, and more.
Their diet includes fish, squid, and krill — caught underwater.
